  • Includes a calendar on leaves [3]-[8], listing saints days and church year festivals--some in red--as well as notes on the positions of the planets on certain dates; Dominical Letters (used for finding Sundays in the year); and Golden Numbers, which indicate the appearances of new moons and counting ahead fourteen days, full moons
  • Printed in gothic type, in two columns; printed marginal notes in roman type; t.p. and text in red and black, with capitals, running titles, captions, and liturgical instructions in red
  • Woodcuts: title vignette (a monk kneeling in prayer before a cross decorated with the instruments of the Passion--crown of thorns, spear, scourges, and sponge--and with a skull at its base); the Giunta fleur-de-lis device in red below title vignette, and repeated on recto of leaf 552 above colophon; two full-page illustrations facing initial pages of the Proprium Sanctorum (Christ at the Sea of Galilee with the fishermen Simon Peter and Andrew), and Mass of St. Francis (St. Francis receiving the stigmata); text illustrated throughout with many small woodcuts of saints and scenes from the life of Christ
