Coll. copy has its entries fully hand annotated showing the "sold" prices in the margin next to the lot no. and the buyers' names (of which only a few were unknown and marked only as "Money paid") in the margins next to the imprint date. In addition, two handwritten leaves are bound in at the beginning of the vol., with the note: "Extracts from a copy of Askews Cat. in the Royal Library Paris , containing all the notes added by M. De Bure, in ms., who attended the sale in London 1775 to make purchases for the Duke de C. Valliere". There is also one leaf bound in at the end of the vol., with a breakdown of the total sales per day. There were 20 sale days with 3,570 lots in all; the total for all the books shows £3,993; the total including some non-book items at the end was £4,020

- The manuscripts, and printed books with ms. notes, were sold by Leigh and Sotheby in 1785
