- Spec. Coll. copy: imperfect, first and last leaves (leaves a1 and M6 respectively) supplied in facsimile. Bound in early 20th-century French olive morocco by the younger Lortic, whose name "M. Lortic" is stamped in gilt at bottom of front doublure; quadruple gilt fillet border on both boards; four of six spine panels contain gilt monogram "VM" of former owner Victor Masséna, prince d'Essling, whose arms are stamped in gilt on front doublure, with his motto "Victor et Fidelis;" gold-stamped title and imprint, "Biblia Vulgare. Venetia 1490" appear in the remaining two spine panels; red morocco doublures; elaborate inner gilt dentelles; marbled endpapers; all edges gilt. Also formerly owned by Andrea Tessier, and Martin Bodmer. Purchased at Sotheby's auction of Dec. 4, 1996 by Martin Breslauer on behalf of UCLA Library. Bookplated to celebrate the appointment of Susan M. Allen as Head, Department of Special Collections, UCLA, January 1997. In modern olive leather and beige cloth clamshell box; gold-stamped spine title "Biblia Vulgare. 1490;" gilt monogram "VM" repeated along inner and outer edges of five of the six spine panels.
