  • According to San Francisco Chamber of Commerce Activities 4, no. 39 (Sept. 27, 1917), the Van Noy-Interstate Co. moved to 292 Second Street in San Francisco in 1917, which suggests a range of possible publication dates beginning in 1917 and ending in 1926 when the company began operating as the Interstate Company
  • Collotype prints are mounted on rectos of 18 leaves of thick cream paper with deckle edges, with printed captions below
  • Issued in olive-tan wrappers with title printed in dark olive on front wrapper, adorned with drawings of California poppies also printed in dark olive; wrappers tied with twisted gold cord; issued in a dark gray envelope with the title "Beautiful Los Angeles California hand-colored" and poppies printed in dark brown
