Mercuriale discusses the value of exercise in preventing illness, maintaining health, and developing bodily function. He outlines exercise programs which might include dancing, wrestling, boxing, jumping, discus and dumbbells, breathing exercises, singing, riding, swimming, fishing, and hunting.
