Bound in contemporary limp vellum; upper hinge broken and backstrip torn, exposing binding support of strips of vellum waste from an 11th-century manuscript with Latin text; remnants of two pairs of leather ties along fore-edges. Contemporary ownership inscription on title page of the Augustinian Hermits of Padua ("Bibliotheca Eremitarum Patavii"); red ownership inkstamp on title of the Jesuit Collegio Antonianum of Padua; below is a manuscript book label recording the volume as a gift from the bishop of Padua ("Episc. Patav. donum Biblioth. Schol. S[ocietatis] I[esu] Philosophorum"). In modern brown leather and beige cloth clamshell case, lined with beige felt; gold-stamped spine title "Aristotle.
