Note
  • "The book was designed and written by Charles Hobson."--Colophon
  • Edition of 30 numbered copies
  • "The star atlas illustrations are from Helvelius's Uranographia published in 1690 and were each hand-printed with color etching inks ... The printing of the Helvelius pages, the punching of the stars, the folding of the concertina binding and the sewing of the signatures was done with the assistance of Celeste Wiedemann. John DeMerritt bound the books in boards and made the clam shell box."--Colophon
  • Gatherings are sewn to an accordion-folded, illustrated spine sheet. The spread back of the accordion-folded spine presents a full view of the constellations as drawn for Helvelius' 1690 star atlas. The book can be stood up so that the star shape in the center is apparent. Six constellations are punched into the pages of the book with a star-shaped punch, and the book works as a miniature planetarium when the light pen is pointed at the punched holes
  • Prospectus laid-in
  • Issued in gray cloth-covered clamshell box, with light pen attached to box with cloth loop
