Forster;" blue marbled endpapers; all edges gilt; double fore-edge painting featuring a) view of Cambridge including Kings College Chapel; and b) view of Oxford, including the Radcliffe Camera. Unidentified armorial bookplate on front pastedown, with motto "In hoc signo vinces;" another engraved bookplate on front endleaf featuring the castle and lion crest of Sir Willoughby Jones, Baronet, of Cranmer Hall, Norfolk, with his motto "Marte et Arte;" ownership inscriptions on second front endleaf: "J. Wilson. Trin. Coll. Oxon. Feb. 1811, e[x] dono John Miller; and below "W. Jones. Trin. Coll. Cam. Nov[em]ber 24, 1875 e[x] dono E.W. Taylor." Housed in modern dark blue cloth phasebox, and dark blue morocco and blue marbled paper slipcase; gold-stamped spine title "Anacreon. Anacreontis odaria. Fore-edge painting. 1802."
