  • An artist's modern interpretation of a traditional alphabet book in which drawings of different animals, accompanied by short humorous alliterative descriptions are arranged alphabetically according to the first letter of the animal's name

  • Text and illustrations engraved and printed in color throughout
  • Leaves are arranged accordion-style, and attached to black silk boards; open spine; upper board decorated with a large capital "A" embossed on pink and tan marbled paper; silver foil strips along upper and lower borders are stamped in black with title "An Alliterative Abecedarium of Anthropomorphic Animals;" lower cover has purple paper diamond over an orange one, with caption "Patent pending book's binding Kuch & Riedel" stamped in black. The accordion-fold structure is held together with magnetic strips at the spine, and is read as a codex
  • Issued in a matching black and turquoise silk drop-side box, with turquoise silk ribbon pull; metallic silver diamond inlaid within niche on upper side of box; red and white title label on side of box, stamped in black
  • Dedicated by the artist to his young daughter; dedication on title page reads "For Arella."
