Summary
Greek primer, based on Nicolas Clénard's Institutiones in linguam graecam (1530), compiled for use in the Jesuit College in Rome, founded in 1551. Included is the complete Greek alphabet with correct pronunciation of letters, placement of accents, and commonly-used contractions and ligatures. A section containing devotional texts and prayers in Greek and Latin--among them the Lord's Prayer, the Apostles' Creed, Salve Regina, the Beatitudes, and the Ten Commandments--is followed by a collection of epigrams--some with Latin translations, and other entirely in Greek. Also included are descriptions and examples of noun declensions and verb tenses and moods
