Summary
This key to "Walker's Lucian" is reproduced by lithography from manuscript copy for "the pupils of the 5th class" (cf. p. [3]) of the Feinaiglian Institution; privately produced. The "J.H. of the t.p. and "I.H." of the colophon stand for John Hawkesworth. The format of the text is basically in parallel Greek and English, with the Greek text on top and English translation running below it. The text also includes several notes inserted above or below the texts, as well as footnotes on almost every page

"F.I." probably stands for a school founded by a society of gentlemen near Mountjoy Square, Dublin, which was placed under the personal superintendance of Gregor von Feinaigle, the mnemonicist; Feinaigle died in Dublin in 1819 (c.f. DNB).

Spec. Coll. copy: Quarter leather, red and brown marbled paper over boards. Inscribed by former owner on front paste-down: "F. Brooke - Francis Richard Brooke, December 1st, 1832". This might be the man listed in Burke's Peerage, who was born on 24 August 24, 1817 and held the office of High Sheriff of County Dublin in 1860 (this person would have been 15 on the date inscribed in the book). On the back paste-down is the drawing of a uniformed man, with epaulets and a feathered kepi-like hat.
