Spec. Coll. Edgeworth Library copy: Inscribed on t.p. of v.1: "Emmeline ["Edg" crossed out, then:] King. See what is written in [sic] the first page of the sixth volume". On half title of v. 6, in ink in Richard Lovell Edgeworth's hand, "I give these to my daughter Maria as they were marked by her mother whom she began to educate herself." Below this in another hand: "Emmeline Edgeworth [crossed out, then:] Emmeline King from her sister Maria E, June 18th 1817". Below this in pencil: "to be given to her when I die or when I see her". Bookplate of Richard Lovell Edgeworth. Pencil notes in v. 4 and 6, presumably of Anna Maria Edgeworth, mother of Maria and Emmeline. Half sheep over marbled boards. Spine title: Dodsley's collection.
